The Main Housing Clutch C3/C4 Friction Plate is a friction (clutch) plate that is alternately stacked with steel (reaction) plates to drive the gear unit.
When hydraulically applied, the rotating clutch C3/C4 friction plate creates rotational output by engaging components within the transmission.
The rotating clutch friction plate allows the correct operating ranges to be reached, the clutch to function correctly, and the proper temperature to be maintained.
