Waste Oil and Chemical Disposal
Mitchell Powersystems is committed to ensure waste minimisation, segregation, recycling and re-use is in place within and across our business, where appropriate.
We are an ISO 14001 registered company and operate a documented Environmental Management System, which is independently audited on a regular basis for compliance.
In accordance with our documented procedures and in compliance with Environmental Legislation we require that:
- All waste is stored and disposed of responsibly, that the following hierarchy is followed: prevention, preparing for re-use, recycling, other recovery (for example energy recovery) or disposal;
- It is only handled or dealt with by individuals or companies that are authorised to deal with it;
- A full, traceable record is kept of ALL wastes received or transferred through a system of signed Waste Consignment Notes for hazardous waste (or Waste Transfer Notes for non-hazardous waste), which indicate the type and volume of waste.
