We are currently looking for two Workshop Engineers working at our Stockton Branch
Mitchell Powersystems, a member of the Turner Group of Companies, forms part of the largest privately owned Diesel Engineering organisation in the United Kingdom. The company’s activities extend from the United Kingdom throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East with specific interests in the Offshore, Marine, Industrial and Power Generation industries, as well as on/off highway automatic transmissions. Due to continued growth in our domestic activities and recent appointment of a new engine partnership, we are looking for ambitious people who enjoy a challenge, to join us in our Stockton facility.
Currently we are looking to recruit two Workshop Engineers, based in our Stockton workshop. The ideal candidates will have served a recognised apprenticeship and have previous experience working on large diesel engines. Automatic transmission experience, although desirable, is not essential. Operating at all times in line with BS EN ISO 9001:2008, BS EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, applicants must demonstrate a strong customer focus and drive for continuous improvement. Responsible for efficient utilisation of available resource to ensure maximum productivity and quality control at final inspection stage, in accordance with Mitchell Powersystems Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and manufacturer specifications. You will be proficient in IT, particularly with regards to equipment diagnostics, with sound numerical skills and health & safety best practice. Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, are essential.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate a high level of customer service/quality control with extensive fault finding and problem solving ability. The ability to multi-task, combined with a methodical and analytical approach is essential. A working knowledge of products supported by Mitchell’s would be advantageous.
